SAHWI was built in Zimbabwe, hand-in-hand with Persons with Disabilities, Disabled Persons Organisations (DPOs), and technologists. We believe accessibility is not a feature — it is the foundation. Every decision in SAHWI starts from a simple question: does this work for someone with a visual, hearing, physical, or cognitive disability, on a basic phone, on a weak network?
Our three pillars are learning, assistance, and community. Learning unlocks independence. Assistance closes the gap when life gets hard. Community makes belonging possible. The name SAHWI comes from our core belief: turning limitations into insight, and dependency into independence.
